Keep your New Year’s goals going strong by improving your strength! Regular strength training is a key component to improving your overall health and wellbeing. Some of its many benefits include increased bone density, improved cardiovascular health and it’s a proven mood and mental health boost! In this interactive, activity-filled workshop, Crosby Wellness Center group fitness instructor KK Swanson will demonstrate how to use the major muscle groups of the body to create a safe and effective strength training program. Join us to learn new exercise techniques that you will use all year long!

Program Notes: Please come dressed in comfortable fitness attire and closed toe shoes. We also recommend bringing a water bottle that can be refilled in our refillable water station.

This program is presented by KK Swanson and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in partnership with the Crosby Wellness Center.

About the Presenter:  

Katelynn Swanson, aka KK, has been working in the fitness industry for over 12 years. After attending the University of Florida and earning both her bachelor’s and Master’s in exercise science, KK worked with clients and companies all over New York City. She currently owns a personal training and nutrition business, helping clients all over the US become healthier. KK specializes in strength training, weight loss and nutrition education.
