Reenergize and Realign Through Breath and Movement

Date & Time

January 11 | 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Event Types :
On the second Wednesday of each month, learn techniques to modify how you breathe and move to reenergize and realign your mind and body.

Most of us roll out of bed each day already looking outward on the day, measuring expectations and planning how to meet them; then, in the evening, we arrive exhausted from having spent hours and energy navigating the demands of our ever-changing day. What if you learned science-based techniques you could use to modify your physiology as you moved through the day? How much better would you feel as you arrived in the evening?

Conscious and intentional breath and movement are the fastest ways to pull ourselves back and reenergize the mind and body. In this program, led by Crosby Wellness Center group fitness instructor Alan Zemel, a certified Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing coach with the Oxygen Research Institute, you’ll learn techniques to consciously modify the breath and move the body that are scientifically proven to bring inner peace and relaxation. Exercises will be taught explaining the science behind many topics such as vagal tone, heart rate variability, the blood O2/CO2 balance, and other physiologic processes of the relaxation response that you can control. Experience first-hand how intentional focused functional breathing and synchronized movement can bring peace and wellbeing to the mind and body.

This winter, we invite you to join Zemel for this workshop on the second Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. for a program that has the power to dramatically change the way you approach each day.

This program is presented by Alan Zemel and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in partnership with the Crosby Wellness Center.
