Join us in person for “Free Weights for Beginners” on Wednesday, April 13 at1 PM in the Community Conference Center.

The gym is full of equipment to choose from, and although machines are great for assisting you with form and allow you to lift heavier weights, free weights can give you more bang for your buck. They have tremendous benefits for your body. If you’re ready to focus on strength training, but are not sure how to get started, this program is for you! Crosby Wellness Center’s Personal Trainer and Fitness Specialist India Washington will teach you about free weights, reviewing the benefits and discussing how to properly use free weights at the gym or at home. She will cover common misconceptions surrounding the use of free weights and help you gain confidence to begin incorporating the tools into your everyday exercise routine. This presentation will be interactive and will give you a hands-on experience handling free weights.

By participating in this program, you can expect to:

  • learn how to effectively use free weights.
  • gain confidence in adding free weights to your workout.
  • discover the variety of free weights and find the best weight for you.

This program is presented by India Washington and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in partnership with the Crosby Wellness Center.
