Put on your dancing shoes and join us for a fun evening of dancing, prizes and fun!

Put on your dancing shoes and join us for a fun evening of dancing to a live DJ, prizes, food and fun! This February, we’re bringing back our popular Heart Month Dance Party to inspire you to shimmy, shake and move your way to better health. Get your heart beating while some of your favorite Crosby Wellness Center instructors lead you through a mixture of fun choreography and dance styles, including Zumba, Hip Hop, Latin and more!

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Arianna Becker, a familiar face at the Center for Health & Wellbeing, to the event. She will inspire you to find fun and interesting ways to incorporating movement and activity into your everyday lives, an important step in establishing and maintaining heart health.

Come dressed to sweat and move in comfortable clothing and sneakers. We’d love to see you in red and pink! No experience is required and all fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.

In between dance sessions, snack on some tasty treats from Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit with a PT from AdventHealth Sports Med & Rehab Winter Park.

We’ll also be giving away several great prizes from our partners at the Crosby Wellness Center, Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen and AdventHealth, including tickets to Walt Disney World and a Solar Bears game. This event is free and open to the community — no membership required. Grab your dance shoes, grab your dance crew and get ready to move your way to wellbeing!

This program is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in collaboration with the Crosby Wellness Center and AdventHealth.

 About the Presenters:

Arianna Becker, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician. She treats acute and chronic illnesses in patients ages 18 years and older, and her main area of interest is preventive medicine, which is why she also became board certified in lifestyle medicine. Dr. Becker earned her medical degree with honors from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was the recipient of the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Achievement Award. She also received awards for her community outreach and participation in a relief effort program. She went on to complete her residency as part of AdventHealth’s Family Medicine Residency program, where she received the Heart of Compassion Award. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

A cornerstone of the community since 1989, the modernized Crosby Wellness Center features two pools, the latest weight and cardio equipment, fitness studios hosting a robust selection of group exercise classes, personal training, medical fitness programs and more led by certified professionals. Certified by the Medical Fitness Association as a Medical Fitness Facility, the Crosby Wellness Center is continually improving and refining its offerings to set it apart from any other fitness center. The Dance Party will feature several Crosby Wellness group exercise instructors, including:

    • Wendy Gonzalez is a fun, charismatic group fitness instructor/personal trainer who loves to make fitness exciting. She has been a pioneer in fitness since 2016 and hopes to continue to make a positive impact for the future. Wendy loves to dance and enjoys ’80s music. When Wendy is not making Orlando fit, she repairs mobility equipment for special needs adults and children. No matter the case, Wendy keeps people mobile!
    • Isabel Acuna is passionate about the transformational power of movement for health and wellness. She recently joined the Crosby team as a Group Fitness Instructor and gives her very best as an Argentine Tango dancer mixed with authenticity and laughter. She blends imagination with innovative interpretations of dance steps to create exercises that expand wellness through movement while having fun and even learning …to Tango.
    • Jill Zaslevsky has been in the fitness business for 25+ years with group exercise being her passion. She teaches a wide variety of classes, such as Aqua fitness, cycling, strength training, and dance aerobics. For fun, she enjoys outdoor adventures, such as hiking and kayaking. She also enjoys spending her free time as a furniture artist, which includes furniture restoration and furniture transformation.
