Did you know that walking with a group can positively impact your Physical, Social, and Emotional Wellbeing? Have you always wanted to participate in a walking club, foot race, or even a 5k event, but don’t know where to start? Get ready to pound the pavement with the CHWB Sole Squad! This regular walking group, led by CHWB Wellbeing Guide Sara Wright, is held at the Center For Health & Wellbeing. Your eight-week journey starts with the basics and will prepare you, step-by-step, to triumphantly cross the finish line at a 5k event.
Starting on Monday, March 7, the CHWB Sole Squad will meet twice weekly for 8 weeks, with training culminating in the City of Winter Park’s Run for the Trees 5k event: Mondays from 10:30 – 11:30 AM, and Fridays from 5:30 – 6:30 PM.
You will receive a detailed training plan and motivational support to guide you to 5k success. You choose a day to meet with the group in person or set your own pace on trails around town. Either way, Wright will provide accountability and guidance along the way.
Please Note: Participation in the 2022 Run for the Trees 5k is encouraged, but not required to join this bi-weekly group.
A note regarding COVID-19 safety protocols: At this time, all guests at the Center for Health & Wellbeing are required to wear masks in all indoor spaces, including during our education programs. Program presenters may remove their masks in order to be better heard by audience members. Attendees, however, must keep their masks fully in place (covering the nose and mouth) during the entire presentation. In accordance with local guidelines, our programs will also be limited in capacity.
Cancelling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program, cancelling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs, cancelling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place. Cancelling your reservation for this program is especially important as we are currently limiting capacities as part of our COVID-19 safety regulations. Cancelling can be done in two easy ways: by calling 407.644.2492 and selecting Option 1, then Option 3 to speak to a representative or by using the online ticket cancellation option in your original confirmation email from Eventbrite.
By participating in this program, you agree to CHWB’s Gracious Space policy.
