You likely already know about the physical benefits of exercise, but did you know that exercise can impact your mental health, as well? Join American Council of Exercise Health Coach Danielle Mize to learn how exercise can assist in both decreasing negative moods and in improving self-esteem, cognition and sleep. Even better, most of these benefits can be attained with low to moderate- intensity exercise for just a few minutes a day. Join Mize as she discusses all the benefits available for a happy, healthy mind.

By participating in this program, you can expect to learn:

  • the impact exercise has on mental health;
  • how much exercise is needed for mental health benefits;
  • how to overcome common barriers related to exercise.

This program is presented by Danielle Mize and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

About Your Program Presenter

Danielle Mize is a Fitness Specialist at the Crosby Wellness Center in Winter Park, FL. With a Master of Science degree in Sport and Exercise Science, Danielle has 10 years of experience in health and fitness coaching.

While in college Danielle fell in love with her daily workouts and resources available to her at campus Wellness Center as a way to manage the stress of a busy schedule. She decided to change majors and pursue a career in fitness, so that she could extend her enthusiasm and knowledge to others hoping that they too, would grow to have a passion for health and fitness. Following her time at UCF, she has continued to call Orlando her home, and extend her portfolio to include certification as an ACE Certified Health Coach, RRCA Endurance Running Coach, ACSM Exercise Physiologist, among others.

Danielle believes that health and wellness is achievable for all and strives to help others through fitness coaching and health education. This work often includes educating others on goal setting, identifying ways to sneak fitness into our hectic lifestyles, and planning for setbacks.

When not helping others towards their wellness goals, Danielle can usually be found training for her next half marathon or participating in other great adventures.
