Barre is a fitness class that is part strength training, Pilates, Ballet and Balance training. Barre workouts target multiple muscle groups with small, isometric exercises. What does this mean? It helps you build lean muscle with tiny incremental movements. Pulsing, squeezing, and tucking just a few inches can make you feel like you’re shaking like a bowl of gelatin dessert! Yet, these small movements have the potential to tone your entire body. Barre classes are also a great and safe way to work out while keeping joints safe, increasing core strength and balance. No wonder people are addicted to barre! In this program, led by Crosby Wellness Center group exercise instructor Tracy Foust, come learn the basics of Barre and feel more confidence to start incorporating it in your wellbeing journey.
Program Notes: Please come dressed in comfortable fitness attire and bring your own exercise mat. We also recommend bringing a water bottle that can be refilled in our refillable water station.
This program is presented by Tracy Foust and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in partnership with the Crosby Wellness Center.
