The holiday season can be fun but indulgent, and sometimes it’s hard to stay on track with your health goals. Join cookbook author Katie Farmand in the CHWB Nutrition Theatre to learn recipes that will help you make healthy yet still delicious choices this holiday season.

During this cooking demonstration, you’ll learn how to make (and sample) dishes like Warm Brussels Sprouts and Mushroom Salad; and Mujadara (Arabic lentils and rice). These are dishes that not only taste great but will also boost immunity and keep your body feeling good during the celebrations ahead.

About the Presenter:  

Katie Farmand is an avid home cook who aims to empower people to get comfortable in the kitchen. The former editor of Edible Orlando magazine, she was a co-host of the web series Delicious Disney and served as emcee for the Festival Stage at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, hosting chef cooking demonstrations and interactive workshops. She is the co-author of two cookbooks Field to Feast: Recipes Celebrating Florida Farmers, Chefs & Artisans and Good Catch: Recipes Celebrating the Best of Florida’s Waters.
