Event Types :
Learn to reduce waste in cooking two ways – by using every part of the ingredients and by incorporating creative ways to utilize leftovers.

In honor of this month’s Earth Day, we encourage you and your family to find simple ways to reduce your carbon footprint. One way is to critically think about the meals we prepare at home. With some planning, you can learn to reduce waste in cooking two ways – by using every part of the ingredients and by incorporating creative ways to utilize leftovers .

In this program, led by Katie Farmand, editor of Edible Orlando magazine and an avid home cook, you’ll unlock simple steps for mindful, waste-free home cooking. Join Katie in the CHWB Nutrition Theatre to learn how to make and then sample four dishes: Chicken Curry Laksa with Broccoli and Spinach, Ceasar style Broccoli Stem Salad with Black Pepper Breadcrumbs, Torta di Pasta with Carrot-top Pasta, and Fast and Easy Pickled Vegetables.

This program is presented by Katie Farmand and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

Cancelling Your Reservation: In order to receive a full refund, participants must cancel their program registration at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled start of the program. Center for Health & Wellbeing’s Refund Policy
