January 11 | 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Event Types :
Join CHWB Chefs and AdventHealth physicians for this innovative program from the Center for Health & Wellbeing.

Food should be enjoyed, savored and shared, and it can be your best tool in the fight to prevent diseases. Join Allison Harrell, Registered Dietitian and Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist in the kitchen where she will share what foods to add to your plate to help prevent cancer. She will discuss what to add to your routine so that it crowds out the food that does not support optimal health. During this culinary health session, you will gain confidence in the kitchen and get to taste some of these delicious dishes that support your health.

Harrell will be joined in the Center for Health & Wellbeing’s Nutrition Theatre by Anupama Saigal, MD, a fellowship trained breast surgical oncologist with AdventHealth.

You have two options for attending this program – save your seat in the Nutrition Theatre or click here to register for our free webinar and watch it from home. Whether you’re watching from inside the Nutrition Theatre or from home, you’ll also have the opportunity to share your questions and comments with Allison and Dr. Saigal during the program.

This is a demonstration-style cooking program, so our in-person attendees should prepare to sit back, relax and let our chef prepare the meal while you enjoy the delicious items. All attendees, both online and in-person, will receive a booklet for the following recipes: BBQ Tofu and Chickpea sandwiches; Superfood Slaw and a Refreshing Mocktail.

This program is presented by Allison Harrell and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in collaboration with AdventHealth.

Cancelling Your Reservation: In order to receive a full refund, participants must cancel their program registration at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled start of the program. Center for Health & Wellbeing’s Refund Policy
