Celebrate the bounty of the season by learning to make fresh and flavorful salads that feature the nourishing power of fall’s freshest ingredients. Led by Allison Harrell, Registered Dietitian and Culinary Medicine Specialist, this class will guide you through creating wholesome, seasonal dishes that are as delicious as they are nutritious.

Emphasizing the principles of Food as Medicine, you’ll learn how to harness the health benefits of nutrient-dense fall produce. Perfect for anyone looking to embrace the season with vibrant, healthful meals, this class will equip you with the recipes and skills to make the most of fall’s harvest.

In this class, you’ll join Allison in the CHWB Nutrition Theatre, where she’ll prepare (and you’ll sample) Acorn Squash and Kale Salad with Turmeric Dressing and more recipes to come. Stay tuned for the full menu.

About the Presenter: 

Allison Harrell is a registered dietitian nutritionist and plant-based chef who has been passionate about food and nutrition for more than 20 years. She advanced her knowledge by becoming a certified Culinary Medicine Specialist, certified in Weight Loss Management. Harrell believes that every time we eat, it is an opportunity to promote our health. She incorporates culinary experiences with a science-based approach. Her programs and tools make a positive difference in the health of our communities by instilling confidence and knowledge in the kitchen.
