Join us in person for “Journal Writing and Neuroplasticity” on Thursday, June 2 at 11 AM in the Community Conference Center.

Journaling is not only helpful to improving your Emotional Wellbeing, but it can also help boost your brain health. In this workshop led by Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Nurse Alison Issen, you’ll learn about the brain science behind therapeutic writing. There will be exercises and tools presented, which will link the practice of keeping a journal with supporting and promoting changes in our brains that can enhance wellbeing and establish positive change.

By participating in this session, you can expect to:

  • demonstrate an understanding of journal writing as a therapeutic technique.
  • gain knowledge of journal writing techniques to be used for personal and professional enrichment.
  • personally experience journal writing exercises as a tool for growth, creativity and positive changes in the brain.

Special Instructions: Journals are not required, but participants are asked to bring paper and a pen or pencil for note-taking.

This program is presented by Alison Issen and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

Canceling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program, canceling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs, canceling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place.
