Give your home a touch of elegance with a beautiful, fresh floral topiary. In this program led by master flower judge and expert florist Emily Bader, you’ll learn how to cut, trim and shape your plants into your own tall, grandiose and colorful topiaries so you can enjoy these beautiful centerpieces any time you want! Each participant will take home a small topiary to enjoy for several days, knowing they can create their own for years to come. This program is a perfect fit for beginners who are interested in learning how to get started on topiary and expand to trees, shrubs and bushes.
By participating in this session, you can expect to:
- understand the practice of floral topiary is and how to master it.
- learn the variety of flowers that work best for a topiary.
- learn how to make a “high-end” unique tall flower arrangement.
Special Instructions: This program’s fee covers the plant and instructions provided to each attendee. Participants are asked to bring their own clippers and floral scissors.

About the Program Presenter
Emily Bader has been chairman and judge of flower shows since the mid-1980s. She was president of the Suburban Garden Club of Germantown, TN, and the Winter Park Garden Club, and spearheaded a WPGC Civic Awareness project at Pulsifer Place. She is currently working with the City of Winter Park for planting an Edible Orchard on Cady Way and signage for all the trees in Central Park.
In Germantown, TN, Bader served as chair of the Beautification Commission for several years and was awarded a Four-Star individual Award from the state. She now enjoys serving on the Board of Winter Park in Bloom. Her goal is to enhance Winter Park to be an even nicer community than when she moved to town in 2011.
