Join us in person for Using Humor to Manage Stress on Tuesday, February 8 at 11 AM in the Healthy Living Experience.

Prepare to laugh aloud during this hilarious, yet informative presentation on stress management. Join us for a screening of the TED Talk “How to Humor Your Stress” by Loretta LaRoche to explore ways to “lighten up” and take life less seriously. CHWB Wellbeing Guide Sara Wright will also facilitate a discussion related to improving your Emotional Wellbeing. Discover how to laugh at yourself and find humor in every situation life brings you.

By participating in this session, you can expect to:

  • discover ways to incorporate humor into stressful situations.
  • learn how others cope with stress.
  • build social connections within the community through shared experiences during this program.

This program is presented by Sara Wright and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

A note regarding COVID-19 safety protocols: At this time, all guests at the Center for Health & Wellbeing are required to wear masks in all indoor spaces, including during our education programs. Presenters may remove their masks in order to be better heard by audience members. Attendees, however, must keep their masks fully in place (covering the nose and mouth) during the entire presentation. In accordance with CHWB guidelines, our programs will also be limited in capacity and rooms set to account for social distancing.

Cancelling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program, cancelling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs, cancelling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place. Cancelling your reservation for this program is especially important as we are currently limiting capacities as part of our COVID-19 safety regulations. Cancelling can be done in two easy ways: by calling 407.644.2492 and selecting Option 1, then Option 3 to speak to a representative or by using the online ticket cancellation option in your original confirmation email from Eventbrite.

About the Program Presenter

Sara Wright joined the Winter Park Health Foundation in March 2019 and serves as the Wellbeing Guide for the Center for Health & Wellbeing. She works directly with community members providing wellbeing coaching and consultation.

Wright makes suggestions, provides educational resources, and links each person to programs and services suited to attain health and wellbeing goals safely and smartly. She also creates an individualized plan and provides motivational support as each community member works to achieve success along their personal wellbeing journey. Wright has more than 20 years of professional experience, including the following areas of expertise: Social Services, Health Education, Community Relations, Management, Personal Training, and Fitness Coaching. She earned a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and two bachelor’s degrees. She is passionate about helping others reach their goals and achieve self-empowerment.
