We are living in exciting times! After sequencing the human genome, much research was focused on how this information could be applied to increasing healthy lifespan and slowing aging. For example, we know that stresses acting on our cells and DNA can cause permanent damage that results in aging. And, it turns out, that nutrition and lifestyle are the most important factors for healthy aging.
In this class, led by Dr. Laura Varich, a certified lifestyle medicine physician, we will discover how to apply lessons in nutrition and lifestyle to slow the aging process. We will explore the specific foods, food groups, and beverages that have been found to affect aging while also creating an “anti-aging” recipe to sample.
This program is presented by Dr. Laura Varich and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
