Rock painting is a trend that comes and goes with each new generation, and it’s back, in a big way! Walk around any public garden or street, and chances are you’ll come across a brightly painted rock, sure to bring a smile to your face.
In this workshop, led by Central Florida Community Arts teaching artist Simone Boos, you will learn interesting facts about the history of rock painting, while designing and creating a meaningful art project using a rock as a canvas.
Once you leave the workshop, it’s up to you whether you find a special spot in your home for your creation or if you leave it out “in the wild” to bring a smile to a stranger’s face.
All art supplies will be provided; just bring your positive vibes and creative ideas.
This program is presented by Simone Boos and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
