The 3 PM slump… you likely know it well. It’s that mid-afternoon crash, half-way between lunch and dinner when your attention drops, your motivation falters and a nap seems like the only possible agenda item for the rest of the day. But did you know that with the right nutrition and a focus on your habits, the 3 PM slump is totally unavoidable?

In this program presented by senior researcher Dr. David Metcalf, corporate performance coach Dr. Lauren Hodges, and Tara Gidus Collingwood, a nationally-recognized expert and spokesperson on nutrition, fitness, and health promotion, you’ll learn five habits you can follow to keep your energy high and your brain functioning at its peak potential, no matter your age.

By participating in this program, attendees can expect to learn how:

  • eating light and often keeps your energy high and support your brain’s highest cognitive function
  • to focus on creating “plant-focused plates,” including omega-3s, green leafy vegetables, nuts and seeds
  • regular, healthy sleep and movement supports healthy nutrition habits

This program is presented by Dr. David Metcalf, Dr. Lauren Hodges and Tara Gidus Collingwood and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
