Join licensed mental health counselor Jill Hamilton Buss will help you understand how your brain and how the process of attention works.

What we focus our attention on in amplified; it becomes our experience. This unique session with licensed mental health counselor Jill Hamilton Buss will help you understand how your brain and how the process of attention works. It will offer tips and strategies to help you regain your ability to pay attention to things that matter to YOU. Our attention over the past couple of years has been diverted to unending news of the pandemic, politics, violence, etc. The firehose of headlines everywhere we turn, all vying for our limited, precious resource – our attention – has left many of us feeling fragmented and weary. This session will help you learn to be more proactive and selective and better able to focus your limited attention on YOUR life and priorities to feel calmer, healthier, and happier.

In this workshop, you can expect to learn the surprising ways stress and attention are linked and how stressed states make us vulnerable to inattention. Plus, Hamilton Buss will share evidence-based ways to better understand and reduce mental clutter and increase your ability to pay attention to things that matter.

This program is presented by Jill Hamilton Buss and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
