We’re excited to welcome Dr. Paul Lam back to CHWB!


We’re excited to welcome Dr. Paul Lam back to CHWB! Dr. Lam is an internationally renowned Australian physician and director of the Tai Chi for Health Institute. He’s the creator of a number of Tai Chi for Health programs that have improved the health and wellbeing of millions of people. He will share the latest research and lead the audience through simple tai chi exercises. Throughout the day, you are also invited to attend our free Community Health Expo, featuring tables from a variety of community partners, plus free PT screenings from AdventHealth Sports Med and Rehab. Light refreshments from Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen will also be served.

A full schedule of events will be posted upon arrival. The day’s scheduled activities include:

  • “Using Research to Serve Communities and Bust Myths: A True Love Story,” presented by UCF researchers Kworweinski Lafontant, MS, CSCS, EP and Kevan Knowles, BS, CSCS
  • Dr. Paul Lam, director of Tai Chi for Health Institute, presentation and tai chi workshop
  • Refreshment break featuring menu items from Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen + opportunity to visit Community Health Expo
  • A Matter of Balance, with Senior Resource Alliance Health and Wellness Program Manager Irene De La Cruz
  • Crosby Wellness Center stretch and meditation session

 

This program is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation and the Senior Resource Alliance.
