Join us for Composting 101, a class intended for growers to learn the basics of composting. In this presentation, led by Kellie Antonowicz of Fleet Farming, a non-profit program of IDEAS For Us, you’ll learn why reducing food waste is an important environmental action and leave with details on the eight different methods of composting. IDEAS For Us is a grassroots environmental non-profit organization and accredited NGO of the United Nations. IDEAS creates global environmental solutions through local action related to energy, water, food, waste, and ecology. One of its many initiatives is Fleet Farming,  a non-profit urban agriculture program that transforms the average American lawn into a bio-verse, productive micro farms and edible gardens.
