Join CFCArts teaching artist Chris Hicks, for this do-it-yourself session by bringing a piece of original writing to present to the group.

”Do you ever have workshops where we can get feedback on our own writing?” YES! You asked for it; we listened.

In this do-it-yourself session, writers of all skill levels are encouraged to bring a poem or short piece of original writing to present to the group for feedback.

After a few warm-up exercises, led by Central Florida Community Arts teaching artist Chris Hicks, a former Honors and Advanced Placement English teacher, each participant will have the opportunity to share something they have written and to give encouragement to others. No matter your skill level, you’ll connect with fellow writers in a casual and supportive setting,

You are welcome to attend whether you bring a piece of your own writing or you just want to hear what other novice authors have to say.

This program is presented by Chris Hicks of Central Florida Community Arts and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
