Event Types :

Join Writer’s Block Bookstore at the Center for Health & Wellbeing as we host author W. Bruce Cameron for an in-person book signing on his latest book, Love, Clancy.

We’re also thrilled to welcome an extra special guest to this event — one of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office K-9s! You’ll learn about a unique partnership between the Senior Resource Alliance and the OCSO to distribute Scent Evidence K-9 scent collection kits to the community for the elderly or children who may wander. We’ll be giving away these kits at the event, and you’ll learn more about this life-saving program.

The event will be hosted by Amy Sweezey, a familiar face to Central Florida TV viewers. After leaving full-time TV news in 2020, she launched a career as a children’s book author, public speaker and freelance TV reporter.

About LOVE, CLANCY

You’ve probably never met someone like Clancy. He’s keeping a diary, he’s falling in love, there are rivals for his affections, he lives with his best friend and his worst enemy – even taken together, these factors are maybe not that unusual, except that Clancy is a dog. His point of view is therefore perhaps…different. Told in Cameron’s signature style, a tremendous cast of wonderful characters find themselves jointly and separately navigating the challenges of life, of love, and…other pets, including Clancy’s “worst enemy” – one very disdainful cat. It’s a lot to keep track of, especially when things start to spin hilariously out of control, but fortunately, we’ve got the observations of Clancy, a very good dog, who shares a valuable perspective on what is really important.

He lives in California.
