Event Types :
Laura Varich, MD, will distill the latest research findings into practical lifestyle tips to start improving your blood pressure today.

While 1 in 3 adults in the United States suffer from high blood pressure as they age, the research tells us that high blood pressure is not an inevitable consequence of getting older. As a matter of fact, focusing on certain diet and lifestyle factors can lower your risk of developing hypertension, and if you already suffer from high blood pressure, can decrease (or even eliminate) your need for blood pressure medication.

Did you know there are even certain foods that can be added to your diet to lower blood pressure, on par with anti-hypertensive drugs? In this class, Laura Varich, MD, a certified lifestyle medicine physician, will distill the latest research findings into practical lifestyle tips to start improving your blood pressure today. We will even sample some ingredients that contribute to lower blood pressure.

This program is presented by Laura Varich and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
