It’s Kids Week at the Center for Health & Wellbeing!
Planting a garden is good for your body, mind and soul, and introducing children at a young age to this nurturing and empowering hobby will serve them well for life.
In this class, led by Melissa Goltermann of Momma G Farms, your child will learn how to grow a plant from a cutting and from seeds. Melissa, who offers free classes to children and adults at her food forest farm in Eustis, is on a mission to educate others on how plants can be a part of a healthy healing diet. Inspire your kids to grow what they eat!
The kids will leave the class with new knowledge, new skills and their very own propagated plants that they will enjoy watching grow in the weeks to come.
Parents/grandparents/caretakers must keep their children within view during the program. We will have extra tables and chairs in the room if you’d like to sit in the back and read or work using our free, building-wide WiFi. We’ll also be opening up the doors to the conference room and you can sit in our Commons, but again, you must keep your child(ren) within view. We kindly request that caretakers of younger children remain with their kids in the activity room.
This program is presented by Melissa Goltermann and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
About the Presenter:
Melissa Goltermann started her healing journey after 10 years of being on pain management due to a serious car accident. She found the medication was only masking her symptoms and she searched for ways to heal her body. Coming off the medication was not easy, and her body is still healing. Moringa was the first thing she used to help in her healing journey. Her mission is to educate others on how plants can be a part of a healthy healing diet. She offers free classes to children and adults at her not-for-profit food forest farm Momma G Farms, located in Eustis, Florida.
