Change is constant. Just as seasons change, so do the phases of our lives. How can we prepare for change? It can be an opportunity to embrace things that are out of our control. Illustrate and convey aspects of life’s changes by using an art journal. In this workshop led by artist Bethany Bennett of the Atlantic Center for the Arts, you’ll learn tips and techniques for incorporating an art journal into your wellbeing journey.
The goal of art journaling is to reduce stress and promote relaxation by increasing participants’ ability to play, experiment and gain self-guided insight and understanding of one’s own emotions. Added benefits can include self-growth, discovery, and joy through visual storytelling in a supportive group environment.
Special Instructions: All supplies for this program, including drawing and painting tools and your own sketchbook to keep, will be provided. Because you will be painting and/or collaging, please wear appropriate clothing that may get messy.
This program is presented by Atlantic Center for the Arts and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
