On October 27, we’ll focus on: Interpersonal Relationships & Outlook

Interpersonal Relationships

Interpersonal relationships are the social connections you have with others. Healthy relationships bring happiness and make life better.

According to research, having someone in your life who really cares for you, feels close to you, loves you or wants to help you, can significantly lower your risk of premature death and disease.

Epidemiologist Jeff Levin, puts it this way, “…experts have singled out love as foremost among the human emotions capable of promoting and maintaining health and achieving healing.”

In this session, we’ll discuss techniques and strategies for improving relationships in your life, and get to know data that proves this can be life-saving measures.

Outlook:

Outlook is the way you view your world. A positive attitude shapes your choices and how you interact with others..

Your outlook colors your perspective on life and influences how you view the world. It also affects the amount of hope and joy you experience. Your attitude informs what you think of yourself, your job, your home, your friends – everything. In all areas of life, having a positive outlook is a great asset, while having a negative outlook creates difficulties.

Research also indicates that your outlook influences your health. It can even impact the progression of disease. When you intentionally focus on what is good in your life, you not only improve the quality of your life experience but may literally improve your physical health as well.

In this session, we’ll discuss how addressing problems for what they are can make you stronger and better prepared to face life’s challenges.
