Join Katie Farmand, editor of Edible Orlando magazine, in the CHWB Nutrition Theatre to learn about the amazing secret power of fresh herbs with recipes, tips and tricks to getting the most out of this super ingredient. She’ll be making (and you’ll be sampling!) the following dishes: Basil-mint lemonade, Bean salad with lemon, mint and cilantro, Steak with all the herbs, and Strawberry basil shortcakes .

This program is presented by Katie Farmand and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

About the Presenter:  

Katie Farmand is the editor of Edible Orlando magazine and an avid home cook. She was a co-host of the web series Delicious Disney and served as emcee for the Festival Stage at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, hosting chef cooking demonstrations and interactive workshops. She is the co-author of two cookbooks Field to Feast: Recipes Celebrating Florida Farmers, Chefs & Artisans and Good Catch: Recipes Celebrating the Best of Florida’s Waters.
