Join us in person for “IDEAS Hive: Public Transit— A Sustainable Solution” on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 6:45 PM in the Community Center.

Do you have complaints toward Orlando’s public transit or are you interested in learning more about the transit services that the City Beautiful offers? Join Anne Lotts, environmental activist, and Naqiy Mcmullen, cofounder of Orlando YIMBY and co-chair of Central Floridians for Public Transit, as they shed light on several issues regarding Orlando’s public transit while diving into the numerous benefits resulting from improved public transit for the people and environment.

During the second half of this program, you will work with others in the discussion group to produce your own solutions to the proposed issue discussed by the speakers. You’ll also learn tips on how to advocate for better public transit from your local representative.

Special Note: Learning, engaging, and finding solutions. The monthly IDEAS Hive meetings allow experts from several different topics to educate you on environmental issues before inviting you to produce your own local solutions.

This program is presented by Anne Lotts and Naqiy Mcmullen and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in collaboration with IDEAS For Us.

Cancelling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program, cancelling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs, cancelling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place. Cancelling can be done in two easy ways: by calling 407.644.2492 and selecting Option 1, then Option 3 to speak to a representative or by using the online ticket cancellation option in your original confirmation email from Eventbrite.

By participating in this program, you agree to CHWB’s Gracious Space policy.
