Join us for Composting 101, a class intended for growers to learn the basics of composting.

Join us for Composting 101, a class intended for growers to learn the basics of composting. In this presentation, led by Dawson Amico of Fleet Farming, a non-profit program of IDEAS For Us, you’ll learn why reducing food waste is an important environmental action and leave with details on the eight different methods of composting. This program is presented by Fleet Farming and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

About the Presenter:  

Dawson Amico is the Fleet Farming Manager, managing around 15 front yard Fleet Farmlettes in Downtown Orlando. He is currently enrolled as an Environmental Science Student at the University of Central Florida. As an Orlando resident, Dawson loves to empower Floridians to grow their own food as well as reflect on one’s ecological footprint. His life passion is in Habitat Restoration and reimagining underutilized outdoor spaces. Grow food, not lawns!
