Cooking with Collette: Low-Carb Cooking
September 15, 2022 at 11:00 am - 12:30 PMKeto. South Beach Diet. Paleo. Some of the trendiest diets are characterized by maintaining a low carb eating style. Watching your carbs isn’t just a trend; it can be a key to sustained healthy weight management and, according to the Mayo Clinic, low-carb diets that emphasize healthy sources of carbs, fat and protein may even help lower the risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
In this class, Chef Collette Haw, a classically trained Culinary Institute of America graduate with a passion for seasonal, sustainable cooking, will demonstrate three delicious recipes that may be low in carbs but are high in flavor and health benefits. This is a demonstration-style cooking program, so prepare to sit back, relax and let our chef prepare the meal while you enjoy delicious items. While attending this program, participants will receive a booklet for the following demonstrated recipes:
- Creamy Tomato & Basil Chicken
- Turkey Lettuce Wraps
- Hamburger Bowls
This program is presented by Chef Collette Haw and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
