Stress Less, Feel Better in Unprecedented Times

While not all stress is bad, chronic or prolonged stress can wreak havoc on our physical as well as emotional health. The anxiety and stress we have all felt as COVID-19 wages easily qualifies as prolonged stress, and can certainly be considered a “social contagion” – that is, others can spread to you the stress they feel in response to the pandemic, just as you can spread it to others.

Join licensed Mental Health Counselor Jill Hamilton Buss as she shares proven strategies for calming your nervous system and managing and reducing feelings of stress. You’ll learn several mindfulness and self-regulation strategies to bring the nervous system back online; gain tools, tips and techniques to achieve present moment awareness and reduce stress during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. This experiential session will leave you calmer and provide practical tools to use going forward.

Jill Hamilton Buss is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with clients in a holistic way to create optimal wellbeing for mind and body. She offers traditional psychotherapy, life coaching and “Walk and Talk Therapy.” She previously served as the Executive Director of Healthy Central Florida, an initiative to make our communities the healthiest in the nation. She holds master’s degrees from Rollins College and the University of Florida in mental health counseling and communications, respectively, and was named one of Winter Park’s Most Influential People in 2016.
