January was “New Year, New You” Month at the Center for Health & Wellbeing, and while this practice of setting New Year’s resolutions can sometimes lead people to bite off more than they can chew, going after resolutions can also present great opportunities to overcome struggles with willpower, conquer unhealthy habits with determination, and focus on meaningful pursuits of wellbeing, from the physical to the spiritual. In this program, you’ll hear experts from AdventHealth and the Crosby Wellness Center teach you how to create a health-conscious “New You” in 2021.

AdventHealth Registered Dietician Sherri Flynt discusses the balance of eating healthy and staying active. You’ll learn what nutrient-dense foods fuel your body and assist you with your workout. Flynt also shares tips on taking small steps — physically and nutritionally — while beginning your new regime. Crosby Wellness Center Fitness Specialist and certified Personal Trainer Bri-Ana Johnson shared how you can choose the best exercises, rep schemes, exercise duration and intensity to safely achieve your physical activity goals.

This program was presented by the Center for Health & Wellbeing in collaboration with AdventHealth and the Crosby Wellness Center.
