Mindful Approach to Intuitive Eating

Posted December 14, 2022 | By Jordyn Flannery

We can all agree that eating healthily can be challenging. These setbacks often leave us hungrier than ever, not just for good food, but for peace of mind and a routine we can count on. So, we invite you to make peace with your food and your soul while rediscovering your pleasure for good eating again. In this program, Josephine Thomason, MS, RDN, LDN, founder and owner of Nutrisi Consulting and Sarah Gallander, BSc, CFNC, FBCA, founder and owner of The Wellness Matrix, discuss the fundamental basics of Intuitive Eating, a simple idea that focuses on a non-diet, healthy relationship with food and eating behaviors. Thomason and Gallander discuss the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating and how these principles can influence your healthy lifestyle choices.

By watching this program, you can expect to learn:

  • that Intuitive Eating rejects the diet mentality and embraces a wellness culture.
  • how adoption of Intuitive Eating principles can acknowledge and support your body’s internal hunger and satiety cues.
  • how Intuitive Eating supports mindfulness to your body’s reaction to different foods and eating patterns.

This program is presented by Josephine Thomason and Sarah Gallander and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
