Join Sonia Clifton, chaplain for Canterbury School of Florida, to learn the historical background of these two popular and widely celebrated holidays. With Clifton, you’ll also explore celebration customs and cultural tidbits in this thoughtful, creative, and engaging look at the Hanukkah and Christmas holidays.

This program is presented by Canterbury School of Florida Chaplain Sonia Sullivan Clifton and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

About Your Program Presenter
Following a career in nonprofit marketing, Sonia Sullivan Clifton was ordained as an Episcopal priest in 1993. She served the church in a rural community in south Georgia for 10 years before moving to Orlando, where she continued her ministry as a chaplain at Trinity Preparatory School and Rector of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. Clifton recently moved to St. Petersburg, where she is the chaplain at the Canterbury School of Florida and a long-term supply priest for small congregations. She has a deep commitment to interfaith dialogue and to building relationships that break through traditional boundaries in order to meet the real needs of the community. She believes that education can empower people to change the world.
