It’s no surprise that America has a sweet tooth. But new evidence shows that sugar is bad for the heart. This February, treat yourself to dessert without the sugar spike. In honor of Heart Health Month at the Center for Health & Wellbeing, Chef Collette Haw of Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen shares what isn’t heart-healthy about traditional baking while demonstrating how to transform your traditional baking recipes into heathier versions. Featured dishes included Blueberry Baked Oatmeal, Healthy Carrot Cake Cheesecake and Chocolate Avocado Truffles.

About Your Program Presenter
Chef Collette Haw is a classically trained Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park, New York) graduate. With an exceptional talent for taking a healthy ‘ho-hum’ to a flavor-rich ‘yum!’, Chef Haw approaches the Nourish menu with a unique hybrid of her comfort-food-gone-healthy and ‘food as medicine’ philosophies. Prior to assuming her leadership role at Nourish, Chef Haw spent several years operating her own successful meal delivery service out of Longwood, Collette’s Clean Eats, and as a private chef to a celebrity family in Atlanta.
