In this interactive cooking demonstration, watch how both chefs introduce tasty sides including black eyed peas with greens, wild rice and spinach, and roasted Brussel sprouts; these dishes are the perfect complement to the main dish on the menu in this demonstration, a whole roasted fish. In this program, Chef Haw and Chef Cabrera also demonstrate how to cook a delicious cobbler that will round out this yummy and healthy, holiday meal.

This program is presented by Chef Haw and Chef Cabrera and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in collaboration with AdventHealth.

About Your Program Presenters
About Chef Collette Haw
Chef Collette Haw is a classically trained Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park, New York) graduate. With an exceptional talent for taking a healthy ‘ho-hum’ to a flavor-rich ‘yum!’, Chef Haw approaches the Nourish menu with a unique hybrid of her comfort-food-gone-healthy and ‘food as medicine’ philosophies. Prior to assuming her leadership role at Nourish, Chef Haw spent several years operating her own successful meal delivery service out of Longwood, Collette’s Clean Eats, and as a private chef to a celebrity family in Atlanta.

About Chef Edwin Cabrera
Chef Edwin Cabrera hails from Puerto Rico. He made the decision to enter the culinary world after dancing classical ballet for 15 years. Upon graduating from Scottsdale Culinary Institute, he received his AA of Occupational Studies in Culinary Arts and Sciences, and Restaurant Management. He joined AdventHealth after working for Jiko at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Bistro de Paris, Tantra (Indian cuisine) and Canyon Ranch Health Spa. One year after joining AdventHealth, Chef Cabrera was promoted to banquet chef for the Orlando Campus Catering Department. In January of 2011, he became the executive system chef with the Center for Nutritional Excellence. Since then, he has been creating recipes using AdventHealth’s Creation Life principles, working with the Center for Nutritional Excellence’s dietitians, and promoting healthy eating to residents of Central Florida.
