If you love to sing or are looking to improve your singing ability, then this program is for you! In this program, Kelly Sardinas, teaching artist at Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts), teaches you the basics of singing through vocal exercises and familiar songs. Discover the foundation of good singing by working through concepts like breath support, pitch matching and diction.
By viewing this program, you can expect to:
- learn breathing techniques;
- practice vocal warmups and exercises;
- and gain a general knowledge of healthy vocal practices.
This program was presented by Kelly Sardinas and was hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in collaboration with CFCArts.
About Your Program Presenter
Kelly Sardinas is a teaching artist at Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts) and has been working professionally in the arts for the past 19 years. Sardinas is also a singer, actor, dancer and educator who is passionate about the arts and helping others express themselves. In the last two years, she has enjoyed working with CFCArts in a variety of capacities with many different demographics — from school aged children to older adults — including under-resourced populations and people with varying abilities. She loves that everyday working in the arts is different from every other. Sardinas holds an Associate of Arts in Musical Theatre and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management.
