About the Presenters:
Allison Harrell is a registered dietitian nutritionist and plant-based chef who has been passionate about food and nutrition for more than 20 years. She advanced her knowledge by becoming a certified Culinary Medicine Specialist, certified in Weight Loss Management. Harrell believes that every time we eat, it is an opportunity to promote our health. She incorporates culinary experiences with a science-based approach. Her programs and tools make a positive difference in the health of our communities by instilling confidence and knowledge in the kitchen.
Monica Aggarwal, MD, is board-certified in general cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and lipidology. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Dr. Aggarwal received her medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She went on to complete an internal medicine residency and internship at Tufts University Hospital, an integrative medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona, and a cardiology fellowship at the University of Maryland.
A highly experienced clinician, Dr. Aggarwal has served as a Cardiologist for more than 16 years, she was also the Director of Echocardiography for the Heart Center at Medical Center, Director of Advanced Clerkships at Perdana University School of Medicine and a Director of Integrative Cardiology and Prevention at the University of Florida.
