Digital Education Programming Presented by the
Center for Health & Wellbeing

When was the last time you saw a fun run or other charity race being held? With so many events being cancelled during the COVID-10 pandemic, some organizations have been forced to become very creative. In this program, you’ll learn how you can make a difference while getting fit through socially distanced virtual fitness events.

Fun, fitness, friends and fundraising for critical needs during these difficult times can be part of the equation that adds up to your health and wellbeing. Find out how these events work and hear from avid virtual fitness participants from our area, Dr. Max Hooper and Dr. Frankie Bratton-Jeffery. They’ll share upcoming virtual events and their associated causes that you may want to lace up your sneakers for.

About Your Program Presenters

Max Hooper is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Merging Traffic, a portfolio management company that is built on an equity-based crowdfunding framework designed to match entrepreneurs with Accredited Investors. Prior to starting Merging Traffic, Max was co-founder of Equity Broadcasting Corporation — a media company that owned and operated more than one hundred television stations across the United States. As an avid runner, he has completed more than one hundred marathons, an additional twenty ultra-marathons, which are fifty or one hundred-mile runs, and the Grand Slam of Ultra Running.

Dr. Hooper is committed to his family and is a husband, father to five children, and grandfather to seven grandsons. He is active in many organizations and serves on various boards of directors and works globally with several ministries and non-profit aid groups. Max had the honor of speaking at the United Nations in New York in 2015.

Dr. Mary F. (Frankie) Bratton-Jeffery holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, and her PhD in Instructional Design and Development is from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. After completing her 25-year Department of Navy civilian career, she joined the Sailor 2025 team as a member of the Zenetex contract support team.

Dr. Jeffery has had a lifelong interest in education and that interest is what led her to join a mission team to support a small elementary school on the island of LaGonave Haiti. For the past 5 years, she has led teams of educators and volunteers to the island to work with the teachers and students.
