Not all fitness centers are created equal. Are you aware there is a medical accreditation program that gyms can earn once specific standards and guidelines are met? Did you know that those who earn accreditation are considered Medical Fitness Centers?

You go to the gym several times a week. And while you may be building muscle and stamina — even losing a few pounds — are you really changing your lifestyle, reducing your health risks or preventing disease? What difference does a medical fitness designation make and how might you benefit from it?

In this program, David Flench, president and CEO of the Medical Fitness Association (MFA) answers these questions and more, including how to locate a MFA facility.

This program is presented by David Flench and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in collaboration with the Medical Fitness Association.
