Exercise and Safety in the Garden

Posted May 1, 2020 | By ale_bellot

What if we told you there was a form of exercise that required no equipment, no gym or dedicated fitness space at home, and allowed you to create something beautiful while you did it? That’s right…gardening IS a form of exercise, and by using common movements in your garden you can work both your physical and environmental wellbeing muscles.

In this program presented by Jana Anderson, IFAS Agent, you’ll learn how to maintain physical and environmental safety in your garden, including information on stretching, sun protection, how to rotate tasks and avoid repetitive motions, and more. Empowered with the knowledge to keep you healthy and safe, you’ll be working – and working out – in your garden in no time.

This class is presented by Jana Anderson and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
