Conducting 101: Film Music

In this program presented by professional musician David Vanegas, you’ll learn conducting patterns and techniques of being a conductor. While listening to famous selections of music, learn the correlating conducting patterns that guide that piece, then try your hand at it! Come prepared to have fun and enrich your brain by learning a new skill.

About Your Program Presenter
After pursuing his B.A. in Music Performance at Rollins College, David Vanegas spent most of his time performing with a variety of ensembles in Orlando as a bassist and percussionist and teaching elementary music. His musical history is deeply rooted in jazz, funk, rock ‘n’ roll and the music of Latin America. He spent six years touring nationally with The Groove Orient and earned his M.A. in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. He has enjoyed working with CFCArts teaching a variety of music based workshops to audiences of all ages and abilities.
