Have you heard? Creativity is the new Vitamin C. Research proves that engaging in small acts of creativity in everyday life increases our overall wellbeing, and The Center for Health & Wellbeing offers ways to do just that. Visit bit.ly/TheNewVitaminC to discover additional upcoming community education programs that serve your dose of Vitamin C.

Generations of athletes have used visualization to improve their performance and results. What if those same principles could help you manifest wellbeing in all areas of your life, from relationships to career and hobbies to your physical and mental health? Vision boards are a wonderful way to start working toward your personal goals and dreams. Psychology Today points out that the act of creating a vision board helps us gain self-awareness and self-reflect on what is important to us – giving us a visual roadmap toward a positive future. So, let’s get started!

Central Florida Community Arts Teaching Artist Chris Hicks will lead this session, combining the power of words, pictures and your imagination. Hicks will lead you on a journey of self-discovery as you choose pictures to embody your next steps on your wellbeing journey. At the end of the class, you’ll leave with your personalized vision board, setting you up for new opportunities and success in the year ahead.

By participating in this session, you can expect to:

  • create a tangible vision board to use in your home or office space.
  • enjoy the process of reflecting on your goals and capturing them in a visual format.
  • learn the guided process of using prompts to assess the root word of elements that are most important to you.

This program is presented by CFCArts Teaching Artist Chris Hicks and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation in collaboration with CFCArts.

A note regarding COVID-19 safety protocols: At this time, all guests at the Center for Health & Wellbeing are required to wear masks in all indoor spaces, including during our education programs. Presenters may remove their masks in order to be better heard by audience members. Attendees, however, must keep their masks fully in place (covering the nose and mouth) during the entire presentation. In accordance with CHWB guidelines, our programs will also be limited in capacity and rooms set to account for social distancing.

Cancelling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program, cancelling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs, cancelling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place. Cancelling your reservation for this program is especially important as we are currently limiting capacities as part of our COVID-19 safety regulations. Cancelling can be done in two easy ways: by calling 407.644.2492 and selecting Option 1, then Option 3 to speak to a representative or by using the online ticket cancellation option in your original confirmation email from Eventbrite.

By participating in this program, you agree to CHWB’s Gracious Space policy.
