Nutrition Strategies to Fuel Your Workouts (Webinar)
March 2, 2021 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 PMMost of us consider the “sweaty” part of our fitness routine this most impactful on our health, but did you know that a successful workout happens before, during and after your actual time spent in the gym? The food and drink we ingest during those times becomes our fitness fuel, and is almost as important as the movement of our workout themselves. Join Bri-Ana Johnson, fitness specialist for the Crosby Wellness Center at the Center for Health & Wellbeing, in this virtual presentation as she provides recommendations on the general intake you need to properly fuel before, during and after your workout.
By participating in this program, you’ll learn the basics of macronutrients and micronutrients and how to differentiate between the two. Johnson will also discuss the importance of hydration and other helpful habits you can easily put into practice in your everyday life.

About Your Program Presenter
Bri-Ana is a fitness specialist and personal trainer at the Crosby Wellness Center in Winter Park, FL. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology. During her tenure at UCF as a teaching associate, she led a personal fitness course for undergraduate students. She has conducted and participated in research for Exercise Science. Her experiences as an athlete and student have driven her to become a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In her leisure, Bri-Ana enjoys being a basketball coach at the middle and high school level.
