Join us in person for Mindfulness and Meditation: Letting Go and Gratitude on Tuesday, February 1 at 7 PM in Community Conference Room B.

Special Note: Participants are encouraged to attend each week session of the four-week program, but it is not a requirement. You may sign up for any of the four programs without attending the others.

This four-week program with Meditation Instructor Camille Sacco will introduce you to the concepts of mindfulness and meditation. You’ll learn practical tips and simple tools to transform your home and work life into the place it deserves to be. Each week, you’ll learn a little something different about mindfulness and meditation.

In order to cultivate a true understanding and get the most out of your practice, it’s important for your mind to be open and receptive. This will ensure that learning and change can occur. The attitude you bring to your practice is crucial. It is the soil in which we will effectively cultivate daily practices that will inspire confidence in the pursuit of living our lives with a higher purpose.

During each session, you will discuss two attitudes and how they relate to mindfulness. You’ll also practice a meditation each week and leave time at the end of the class for discussion and takeaways. Together, this will constitute the foundation upon which you will be able to build a strong mindful meditation practice of your own.

In week one, you will cover:

  • Attitudes: Letting Go and Gratitude
  • Meditation: Lovingkindness Meditation

Attendees can sit in a chair or on the floor for this program. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, towel, or small blanket; chairs will be available for those who prefer to use one. The room can also be cool during this program, so cold-sensitive participants may also want to bring a light jacket or sweater. All attendees are also encouraged to bring their own bottles of water.

This program is presented by Camille Sacco and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

A note regarding COVID-19 safety protocols: At this time, all guests at the Center for Health & Wellbeing are required to wear masks in all indoor spaces, including during our education programs. Presenters may remove their masks in order to be better heard by audience members. Attendees, however, must keep their masks fully in place (covering the nose and mouth) during the entire presentation. In accordance with CHWB guidelines, our programs will also be limited in capacity and rooms set to account for social distancing.

Canceling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program, canceling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs, canceling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place. Canceling your reservation for this program is especially important as we are currently limiting capacities as part of our COVID-19 safety regulations. Cancelling can be done in two easy ways: by calling 407.644.2492 and selecting Option 1, then Option 3 to speak to a representative or by using the online ticket cancellation option in your original confirmation email from Eventbrite.

By participating in this program, you agree to CHWB’s Gracious Space policy.
