“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others” isn’t simply a profound quote from Mahatma Gandhi, it’s a framework to a meaningful life lived by helping others. Join Micki Meyer, Lord Family Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs & Community at Rollins College, as she discusses how to best align your passions, talents and interests with volunteer opportunities that make a difference in the world. You’ll learn how to map your interests and talents, set volunteer and engagement goals, find meaningful volunteer activities within your communities and reflect on past volunteer experiences. By sharing and listening to the experiences of your fellow program participants, meaningful, impactful service is right around the corner.

By participating in this program, you can expect to:

  • experience why service and being an engaged citizen is important;
  • learn how to find service projects in your community;
  • and explore how to apply your talents and interests within the community to affect change.

This program is presented by Micki Meyer and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
