Eating Healthy on a Budget (Webinar)
March 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 PMEating healthy on a budget is difficult enough without a pandemic interfering with our ability to access and afford certain foods and beverages. Old habits can also be hard to break, but finding creative ways to make eating healthy, convenient and affordable can make you feel good without breaking your budget – and, it’s easier than you think. Join Jeanette Andrade, director of the University of Florida Master of Science Dietetic Internship program, to learn ways to eat healthy while on a budget — where to shop and how to access foods and beverages if factors impede you from shopping — but most importantly, easy and yummy recipes with fewer than five ingredients (yes, you read that right!). In this interactive presentation, you’ll also share your own personal recipes and tips that help you eat healthy while on a budget.
By participating in this program, you can expect to learn:
- how to purchase healthy budget-friendly foods;
- myths about eating healthy and cost;
- and ideas for preparing a budget-friendly dish.
This program is presented by Dr. Jeanette Andrade and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
