French painter Oscar-Claude Monet was a central figure of the Impressionism art movement and is one of the most beloved painters in history. His famed paintings of water lilies and other landscapes draw millions of visitors each year to museums across the world. In this program led by a Central Florida Community Arts teaching artist, you’ll learn to create a Monet-inspired pastel work based on his famous painting “Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lilies.” Not only will the result be something you’ll treasure for years to come, but the experience will also calm stress and lead to a sense of peace and relaxation.

This program is presented by Central Florida Community Arts and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

About the Presenter:

Central Florida Community Arts exists to serve and build community through the arts. CFCArts creates a family that allows people to use their talents and abilities – to be able to sing, play instruments, and perform together, all while building lasting connections. Members of its Choir, Orchestra, and Children & Youth Arts programs all have the opportunity to perform in seasonal productions. CFCArts also offers music lessons, workshops and classes through its School of Arts & Public Health, and thereby equips local artists to do what they do even better! CFCArts’ heartbeat is to serve and to give back to the community through performances and educational offerings. The organization’s goal is to make the arts affordable and accessible to ALL!
