Join us in person for “Cooking with Collette: Mediterranean Snacks & Apps” on Wednesday, August 24 at 11 AM.

Dreaming of a getaway to the Mediterranean? Dream no more. Learn how to whip up tasty and healthy Mediterranean Diet-inspired snacks and appetizers and invite your friends over for an “appy hour” that is good for your body and soul! For decades, health experts, including organizations like the American Heart Association, have touted the many benefits of the Mediterranean Diet. Inspired by the cultures and cuisines of those who live near the Mediterranean Sea, this diet highlights foods such as fish, olive oil, legumes, whole grains, fruit and vegetables.

Chef Collette Haw, a classically trained Culinary Institute of America graduate with a passion for seasonal, sustainable cooking, will demonstrate four delicious snacks and appetizer recipes that celebrate the Mediterranean style of cooking. This is a demonstration-style cooking program, so prepare to sit back, relax and let our chef prepare the meal while you enjoy delicious items. While attending this program, participants will receive a booklet for the following demonstrated recipes:

  • The Best Hummus
  • White Bean Spread
  • Greek Dill Dip
  • Falafel

This program is presented by Chef Collette Haw and hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

Canceling Your Reservation: If you are unable to attend a program, canceling your reservation gives us an accurate count of how many to expect; for sold-out programs, canceling your reservation also allows someone on the waitlist to attend in your place. Cancelling can be done in two simple ways: by calling 407.644.2492 and selecting Option 1, then Option 3 to speak to a representative, or by using the online ticket cancellation option in your original confirmation email from Eventbrite. About the Program Presenter

Chef Collette Haw is a classically trained Culinary Institute of America graduate. With a passion for seasonal, sustainable cooking, Chef Haw approaches her cooking with a passion for blending comfort-food-gone-healthy and ‘food as medicine’ philosophies. Chef Haw spent several years operating her own successful meal delivery service out of Longwood—Collette’s Clean Eats—and as a private chef to a celebrity family in Atlanta before launching Nourish Coffee Bar + Kitchen at the Center for Health & Wellbeing. For its first three years in operation, she created the café’s beloved seasonal menus.

Now a new mom, Chef Haw is returning to her passion of recipe development for local businesses and organizations in Central Florida. You will also find her a familiar face at the Center for Health & Wellbeing via her popular online series, Small Bites with Chef Collette.
