According to John Jennings, Vice President/Principal of Jack Jennings & Sons – general contractor for the Center for Health & Wellbeing, approximately 70% of the structural steel is in place and construction is on schedule. The $40 million facility is set to open late 2018 providing a new home for the Peggy & Philip B. Crosby Wellness Center, plus a wide variety of integrated programs and services.
Earlier today, the concrete was poured and put in place for a portion of the first floor where the healthy café, nutrition theater, conference center, program offices and children’s wellness center will be located. Next week, the concrete walls and floor of the Crosby Wellness Center lap pool will be poured and formed. For the balance of this month, construction workers on the site will be focused on rough-in of electrical and plumbing, as well as ongoing structural steel work.
